Costs
The 2009 Study Tour to Germany & Switzerland is slated to cost $2,700+ airfare (estimated in Jan 2009 at ~ $800 for flying from Seattle into Munich and flying out of Zurich back to Seattle).
Study Tour costs include:
- All in-country accommodation (double occupancy)
- In-country transportation related to the tour itinerary
- Some cultural activities
- Some meals
- Travel costs for 2 student leaders
Study Tour costs do not cover:
- Roundtrip airfare from Seattle
- All meals
- Immunizations
- Entry visas, applications, or passport fees
- Optional activities
- IBUS 570 (2cr) tuition
- Personal expenses
Any funds remaining in the account after all Study Tour costs have been paid will be refunded to the student participants.
The Faculty Representative’s travel costs are paid for by the Global Business Center.
Guidelines for personal budget:
- $50-100 for tourist visa (NOT needed for citizens of US, Canada, Japan and Malaysia)
- $20-$30 / dinner at restaurant
- $10-$15 for pizza
- $80 for Taxi ride from airport to center of city (trains are of course way cheaper)
- $10 for a 1 day pass that can be used for trams, buses, and trains
